Damon Johnson of Black Star Riders to Release Solo EP

Damon Johnson
Here’s a bit of exciting news for all you Black Star Riders fans out there. Guitarist Damon Johnson has just announced a solo EP ‘Echo’ which will be released on 27 May.
The 5 track EP, which was recorded throughout 2015 sees Johnson taking the lead with vocals, guitars and other instruments. He’s joined by Jarred Pope (drums) and Tony Nagy (bass). And we’ve been told to expect plenty of big riffs and driving rhythms. Which is good!
‘Echo’ was produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz – whose credits includes Rush, Alice In Chains and Foo Fighters – at Rock Falcon Studio in Nashville. Johnson says “We worked together on Black Star Riders ‘Killer Instinct’ album. A few weeks later Nick asked me if I had any solo songs I wanted to record and we were off and running. His contribution to ‘Echo’ is immense. I’m very proud to share this music with the world.”
decibelROGUE will bring you a full review of ‘Echo’ as soon as we can get our hands on a copy of the audio.
