Grave Pleasures November UK Tour

Grave Pleasures
If you like your music to bleed menace, or have a faint whiff of nuclear fumes about it, then decibelROGUE’s got just the thing! Finland’s most notorious apocalyptic post-punk band Grave Pleasures are heading to the UK for a seven-date UK tour, and kick things off with a performance at the Damnation Festival in Leeds at the end of next week.
Picking up where the likes of Magazine, The Wire and Echo And The Bunnymen left off, Grave Pleasures released their second album Motherblood in September to universally positive reviews.
Grave Pleasures have been described as being a post-punk wet dream and bat-shit lunatics. And their latest album is a furiously passionate and contemporary collection of songs which sees the band’s metallic raw tone clash with pop hooks and raw, banging, gothic tribalism.
“I try to write songs about the unexplored human darkness, of the nightmares but also the joys inherent in it. It’s about accursed attractions and making love to your nihilism. Misery loves catharsis.” – Mat McNerney (vocals)
After listening to some of Grave Pleasures’ new material, it becomes quickly apparent that they’re one of those bands who don’t sit in any one particular genre. So regardless of what flavour of rock music floats your particular boat I’m pretty confident you’ll like these guys. Well worth checking out.
