Celtic Connections 2016

One of the reasons I established decibelROGUE back in the summer was because I believe that despite the travails facing the local music scene in some of our towns and cities, Scotland as a whole has never been better served by live music events, venues and festivals than it is today. And someone (and it might as well be yours truly!) should help spread the word on the interweb.
One such festival is Celtic Connections, which since it’s inception in 1994 has become the largest music festival of it’s kind in the UK, attracting a richly diverse range of artists from home and abroad for its annual celebration of Celtic music. I’ve just received confirmation that decibelROGUE has been granted full press accreditation for Celtic Connections 2016, so we’ll be there to bring you reviews and photographs of some of the best bits right from the heart of this legendary Winter music festival.
We’ll bring you a proper preview or two in the coming weeks and can’t wait to get stuck in when the festival begins on 14 January.
2100 musicians, 300 events, 20 venues. Time to start planning!
Oh, and Robert Plant has a show… 🙂
