Rockathon 2016 in Support of Cash For Kids

Tickets on sale NOW
If you’re the kind of person who loves to see the weekend out with a bang, and will be within striking distance of Edinburgh on Sunday 1 May, listen carefully…
The people behind Dalkeith’s Midstock Festival have joined forces with PR Owls (who, amongst other things, promote unsigned bands via social media), to bring you Rockathon 2016. Taking place at the city’s newest music venue Stramash, Rockathon brings together some of the best unsigned talent from across Scotland to raise money for the Radio Forth Cash For Kids charity. Headlined by former Silencers lead singer JJ Gilmour and his band, the lineup consists of a brilliantly diverse range of artists – some of whom you may well have seen perform at venues across the country before, but there will be others who you’ll get to see for the first time.

Oh, and JJ Gilmour’s connection to The Silencers aside, there’s another proper rock ‘n’ roll connection in Rockathon’s lineup, and it involves singer songwriter Kirsten Adamson. The clue’s in the name. Yep, Kirsten is the daughter of Big Country’s late, great frontman Stuart and coincidentally she is very, very good indeed!
Rockathon’s organisers know a thing or two about good music, so you can be rest assured this is concert is going to be an absolute belter. Far be it for decibelROGUE to tell you what to do, but get yourselves sorted out with a ticket or two, head to Rockathon and have a great time. We’ll be there to provide photographic services for the event and might even point a camera in your general direction to feature in our gallery! We’ll bring you a feature on Rockathon a few days hence.
But don’t wait for our review – GO TO THE CONCERT!!!
Doors open at 3.30, tickets are priced at an extremely reasonable £10.00 and are available HERE
