The Dead Daisies UK Tour and New Video

Hard on the heels of touring the US with Kiss, The Dead Daisies head back to the UK next week to kick off a 10 date co-headline tour with The Answer. And this makes us very happy decibelROGUES indeed!

We were lucky enough to cover The Daisies’ last gig in Glasgow.  And I say lucky because it turned out to be one of those nights that reaffirmed why I fell in love with rock music in the first place. Huge riffs, blistering guitar solos, swaggering rockstar attitude – it was all here. In spades!

I could talk for hours about how good The Dead Daisies were that night, because it was by a country mile our favourite gig of 2015. But instead of doing that I’ll ask you a question. Do you like rock music?  If your answer is yes, and you missed the band last time out, check out when the band are in your area and buy a ticket while you still can. Trust me, this is a no-brainer!

Since the last tour there has been a couple of enforced changes to the band’s lineup.  Lead guitarist Richard Fortus and keyboard genius Dizzy Reed returned to Guns ‘N’ Roses for their reunion tour, with former Whitesnake axeman Doug Aldridge joining the band just before work began on their latest album Make Some Noise.

Speaking of their new album, the band have released a video to A Song And A Prayer. This is the fourth single to have been released from Make Some Noise and it stands out from the rest of the songs on the album in being slightly darker in tone. “This song turned out to have a special vibe to it, very accessible, which is really cool. But the lyrics are rather dark. In the end it’s about hope, it talks about all the troubles we’re all going through – and that you have to be hopeful, that you will come out of it. Always look on the positive side, that’s the message.” John Corabi

decibelROGUE will be at the Glasgow show to bring you a full review and gallery. The shows are selling out, so act now!

The Dead Daisies are: Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Scream), Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy), Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner) and David Lowy (Red Phoenix, Mink).
