The Dead Daisies ‘Resurrected’ First Thoughts
Well this caught us on the hop! Keen to give their fans a taste of what’s to come from their forthcoming album Burn It Down, The Dead Daisies have today released Resurrected.
While we don’t know whether this was to be the single which the band planned to release in March, or is another track from the album entirely, we do know this: It absolutely rocks!
Although one track is not enough to signpost the creative direction of an entire album, Resurrected has a much bigger, heavier and badder vibe than any track on Make Some Noise or Revolución. And it’s this continued gradual evolution of the band’s sound which makes every new studio album they release so exciting.
Make Some Noise saw the band adjust to life without Dizzy Reed on keys, becoming a totally guitar-driven hard rock band in the process. Now we’re a couple of years further down the line, Deen Castronovo has replaced Brian Tichy on drums, and the Daisies have more than earned their spurs as one of the most exciting live rock bands on the planet.
If Resurrection is any guide, Burn It Down promises be the band’s heaviest and most dynamic album yet. And most likely their best. We’ll bring you a full review as soon as we can get our hands on a copy.
In the meantime we strongly recommend you head over to Spotify or iTunes and play Resurrected LOUD!
